About Me

Anna Adami

After receiving an MFA in Creative Writing, I craved to deepen my relationship to my feeling body. I was tired of being stuck in my head.

Yoga teacher training awakened me to mindful practices, somatic awareness, and the sacredness of mind-body-soul connection. This utterly changed my relationship to my creative practice, bringing more clarity, peace, and awareness.

Now I am passionate about creating spaces for people to express their most authentic selves - mind, body, and spirit - on the mat, on the page, and in the world.

My Words

My writing can be found in Hobart, Yoga Journal, Plates Journal, Glasstire Magazine, and Peaxdunque Review, among others. In 2023, I was honored as a Writers League of Texas Fellow. I was also chosen as one of five finalists in the Writers League of Texas Manuscript Contest for Memoir for the working draft of my first book, Waterways.

I take great joy in writing a weekly essay in the form of a newsletter at Snail Mail, my personal substack.
